About

Hello 👋, my name is Martin

I am a dad, husband, and software engineer 👨👩👧 🐕🦮 💻

I have two Golden Retrievers 🦮🦮 💞

I love to learn and to share what I learn 📚

Background

I’ve spent a decade building software. Since 2021 I’ve been a Senior Software Engineer at OpenTable, and in March I moved to the machine learning team. Before that I worked on billing at Gogo, payments at Hypur, and data visualization at Arizona Instrument.

These days I mostly work with Python, plus TypeScript, React, Node, and Go. I write about what I’m learning, from distributed systems to AI agents.

Outside of work, I’m a volunteer firefighter with Lefthand Fire and a STEM career mentor for high school students at Peak to Peak Charter School.
